Yes, you can! but it depends on the third party app you are using.
If you are using Teleprompter Premium or Promptsmart Pro, then yes. You can link the two devices, typically iPad and iPhone, via bluetooth or wifi. You can remotely control the text speed, size, upload scripts, etc.
